The Refugee An old man, too old for the heavy burden he is carrying, is the last of the procession. He can rarely keep up with others. When he cannot go longer he sells hot noodles sitting near a stand. A man pardons him and gives him some coins, even though he does not know where his next meal comes from. The old man is reluctant to take money. He does not want to worry about beggars and therefore explains the situation. He said that his people had good land, but the river grew and they had no food left. In frustration they ate the seeds bought for land farming. He suffered pain to protect his people and said that he was very hungry and very inexperienced about the future, although he warned them not to eat seeds. Passenger man drops a silver coin and a copper coin drops in the arrival of the old man and goes on his way.
